one of my favourite ways to produce art is to do it with different mediums. also known as mixed media (not to get mixed up with multimedia art), which tends to allude to visual art that integrates different classic distinct visuals. 

back in the day when i was an artist (bah, yeah right, more like back in the day when i went to art school) i used to hit up value villages and thrift shops for really ugly hideous paintings in the most tackiest frames and just paint over it…

that’s my experience with it, just shows you that you can take some really ugly canvas and put your own flare to it to make it (somewhat) pretty.
